A check drawn on an Irish bank will not be accepted by many Italian banks, and in any case, it will become a denar, within an Italian current account, over a 45/50 day period - I, instead of a Italian seller, I would not accept it - no one can guarantee that the account in Ireland really contains the money written on the piece of paper.

Postepay, is what can be defined, a closed circuit in the entrance - the rechargeable card issued by the Italian post office can be recharged = can receive money - only from an Italian postal account or by a payment made at a post office - it does not have an IBAN or BIC code.If you want to transfer money from the United States to a person who has a postepay card, you can not do it - but if you have a current post bank account in Italy ( Bancoposta) , in your name, you want to transfer the money From your bank in USA  to the Post bank account and then from the post bank account to the poste pay card, this transfer service from post bank account to postepay card, has the price of 1 euro for each transaction. If the money transfer from an USA bank account to the postal bank account in italy, is made in euro, has a really irrelevant cost, around 10 euros - if instead the transfer is in $, the transfer price will be considerably higher because all Italian standard  ( not in foreign currency – used by firms ) bank accounts can not Receive currencies other than the euro, and hence are debited, to those who send foreign currency, the rate and the exchange transaction. MORE - Italian post servece - have an transfert service named MONEY GRAM , to tranfert money to many countries  - i do not know as  they work and costs - but know that many Immigrant workers in Italy, use this service to send money to their relatives in the world - I think it can certainly also be used to receive.Anyway the site is this> http://www.moneygram.it/en

If the prepaid card has its own IBAN and / or BIC code , surely YES, if it does not, I'm afraid it is not possible

Sending money from a bank account in america to a bank account in italy is easy, it's a normal bank transfer. - If you want to have a savings on the exchange, I suggest you to transfer euro and not dollars.

An old Italian saying recites> everyone is free to choose, the tree, the branch and the rope - the only suggestion that can be given, is to sprinkle the soap rope... Ronco, All that costs little, looks beautiful, and all those who promise us, easy business, look good and good people -Unfortunately, many people forget that the hen who made Colombo's egg died a few hundred years ago.....

Yes the lawyer is very better than a  real estate agent .., In fact I'm wondering why this useless category of real estate agents was invented, I see that she is also specialized in mortgages - in fact she does everything, less her lawyer's profession - Eeeehhh SI .. Italy is a large banana plantation.

In the financial law of the Monti government, year 2015, there was a specific rule,> http://www.terzobinario.it/comprare-casa-senza-mutuo-da-oggi-si-puo-con-il-rent-to-buy/61227Like all imaginative regulations, created for the purpose of obtaining votes, made a lot of auditorium and then was filed in the forgetting. According to the legislator, the seller with this rule would have the opportunity to free himself of his own property, to the benefit of the buyer, who pays them to installments, without the guarantees and costs of a mortgage -It is quite easy to understand that the seller is not that good and good soul, willing to sell their homes, for the buyer's economic advantage and the political fortune of the legislator - in fact after the first, enthusiastic articles, including newspapers and magazines Real estate agents, have forgotten this carnival invention. The "foreign" investors at first impact with the Italian Republic of Bananas are convinced that everything is possible here and not that the winnings here are made with a certain "lightness"
