Two nights ago a gecko appeared in my lounge. It stayed high up on the wall and I couldn't reach it even if I were brave enough to handle it. Yes, I know they are quite sweet, eat mosquitoes, etc and it only scares me when it moves!

I live in a city centre, second floor apartment so I don't get much bother from creepy-crawlies, which is just as well, as I'm a city lady who is terrified of them.

Hi, Omalley and welcome. You must be very excited. I agree with Karen that the most important thing is to learn the language, if you are not already an Italian speaker. Other than that, I would say be prepared for a change of pace and accept that official procedures take longer in Italy. For every frustration, there is a compensating delight. Good luck. Pat

Hello. I'm niot a football fan but even I get drawn into the WC. I thgought they were all on Rai Uno. Only I can't find Rai Uno any more 'cos they moved it or changed the signal or something. It used to be on Sky 101 but it's gone from there, too.

I don't know if this is of any help to Casa Monal but an unskilled builder earns about 120 euros a day here in Sicily.
As far as I know, it is going to be set up.
