Description
A great deal of thought, care, expense and hard work has been invested into making this an exclusive and upmarket small hotel/ agriturismo. Joe and Alana Mazza, the delightful and welcoming owners, have taken this house from the usual Italian rusticity to a new level. They designed the stunning new 12 metre swimming pool themselves, employing superb planting and lighting to create an enticing area with its heavenly view across the olive groves, (the olive tree is the sign of peace and harmony). The luxury pool furniture and thick, fluffy towels tempt one to spend the whole day unwinding and relaxing around the pool or in the many sitting areas in the well manicured gardens.
The long room in the main house is a haven for those who want to escape the heat or the cold and sit on one of the deliciously comfortable sofas to read or chat. There is an honesty bar for you to feel totally at home and enjoy a drink whilst relaxing. You can also explore the well stocked library with a collection of novels for you to use whilst at the Casale, some coffee table books of interest and a catalogue of DVD’s for you to enjoy in your room. An outdoor lounge has been created off the The Long Room, it has large comfy sofa’s and has spectacular views of the Olive groves and mountains beyond. The eating area is a covered space also off The Long Room, where Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner can be taken. In the winter months dining is in the Long Room, with wood fire burning brightly. The original farmhouse bedrooms radiate Italian country charm with their wooden ceiling beams and cotto floors, with Italian marble bathrooms. The luxurious new beds and the crisp Egyptian cotton bed linen are divine. All rooms have everything you could wish for, from the fabulous complimentary olive oil toiletries and bottled water to the irresistible home-made biscuits, Smart TV. Each bedroom has a large private terrace with comfortable chairs and sun beds. Crucially for some, there is free wi-fi throughout the whole property. There is also a ground floor bedroom, which is suitable for guests with mobility issues and it is situated next to the main door of The Casale.
Alana and Joe had a clear vision: to provide a luxurious retreat where people can find peace and tranquillity, but also discover this fascinating and relatively unknown area of Italy. Ideal for couples wanting a romantic hideaway, or families who would like to explore this hidden gem of Italy.
