The Best Way to Learn Italian? Head to Italy!
Italian is the fourth most studied language in the world, with 2.3 million students around the world. These figures emerged during the “Stati Generali della Lingua Italiana” (“General Standing of the Italian Language”) event, organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education and held at Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence last week.
(In case you were curious, the three most studied languages ahead of Italian are English, Spanish and Chinese. Italian has surpassed French and German.)
Why is Italian so popular? The cited reasons include the appeal of Italian culture, opera and food traditions.
If you are one of those 2.3 million students and want to hone your skills, or if you plan to join the large group of Italian language aficionados, we give you a selection of language schools in Italy. Because the best way to learn a language is to travel to the country where it is spoken. A valid reason to pack your bags and spend a few weeks in the Bel Paese!
