Buongiorno, my wife and I have dual citizenship (Italian/USA), retired professionals and living in USA. We also have an Italian tax certificate (Certificato di attribuzione del Codice Fiscale).

We took a sabbatical leave in 2018, living for 10 months in Rozzano (milano), but since we had no rental contract (were living at a friend's apartment) we couldn't get the health card for seniors (tessera sanitaria)

We plan to travel again to Italy  next year and stay for 12/18 months, this time renting an appartment and signing a rental contract. Will this be enough to get us the health card (tessera sanitaria)??
