One of Caravaggio's masterpieces, the Adoration of the Shepherds, will be restored in one of the rooms of Palazzo Montecitorio in Rome, where

The painting, which is part of Sicily's Regional Museum collection in Messina, has already been moved to Rome and the restoration process which started on the 7th of October will end on the 31st of January. The restored painting will be then exposed at Scuderie del Quirinale as part of a special exibition dedicated to Caravaggio, which is one of a series of events organised to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Caravaggio's death which will to take place in 2010.
