The first cafè where you can sip an espresso and cuddle up with a kitten has just opened in Turin.
The owners and staff of MiaGola Caffè have adopted a number of cats from the city cat shelter, and customers taking part in a Flash Mob dedicated to cats on February 17, International Cat Day, have picked their names: you can now greet and snuggle with Fred, Romeo, Sissi, Magda, Barney and Mia - the six adopted cats so far.
MiaGola Caffè is the first of its kind in Italy, and will also be active in sponsoring adoptions and charities to feed stray cats. A veterinarian will be on hand to advise and the food served at the café is going to be strictly vegan.
