The little rural community of Mercatello sul Metauro, is getting the full Jamie Oliver treatment this week. The young chef is over there with his entire Channel 4 troupe for a week - filming for what will be one of his upcoming Channel 4 shows. The Le Marche countryside must provide quite a contrast to his last show where he had to argue with dinner ladies and children only wanting to eat chips and burgers!
The arrival of the famous chef has been quite exciting for the rural community who describe the arrival as "straight from Tony Blair's kitchen into the kitchen of the locals of Mercatello sul Metauro!". The chef will also redeem himself for the upheaval caused by cooking next Friday (the day of his birthday) and inviting all the locals to taste their products as he would like to see them cooked.
