Tonight, Gianni Morandi will host the opening night of Sanremo Musica Festival 2012 with Ivana Mrazova, a Czech fashion model, and Italian actor/director Rocco Papaleo as co-host.
Italian music legend Adriano Celentano will be the guest star of the night, with a performance that will also talk about politics and social injustice.
The festival has included a special tribute to Whitney Houston who passed away last week, as she debuted in Italy at the festival in 1986 with All at once. Her performance remains in the history of Sanremo Music Festival as the audience asked her to sing again, something that has never happened again to any other artist performing at the festival.
