U.S. Polo Assn.'s first sales campaign in Europe has been successfully completed.
The brand is represented by Incom, the Montecatini Terme business that owns Chiook and licensed to sell Pirelli and Pickwick clothing.
U.S. Polo Assn. presented its Fall/Winter 2008-2009 collection at the 73rd edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo.
Overall sales of the brand, which is produced and distributed by Incom, proved successful, particularly the James Polo Long Sleeve and the U.S. Polo Assn. Shirt.
Pieces from U.S. Polo Assn. will be presented in over 200 multi-brand stores chosen from the best stores in the biggest Italian cities.
Among European countries, Spain and Greece have recorded the best sales results. The company's first sales campaign in Italy generated more than 1.5 million euro in sales.
Incom manager and director of the U.S. Polo Assn. Project, Lorenzo Nencini, commented, ''We are very satisfied with the results of this first sales campaign, which, notwithstanding the fact that it was launched during a financially insecure moment, exceeded initial the expectations.
''This was made possible thanks to the power of the historic American brand U.S. Polo Assn., which has the ability to transmit the ''classic'' values of the sport of polo and the trust that Incom enjoys on the market for over 50 years. We have tremendous growth potential and are thinking of launching a women's and children's collection''.
