A photographic contest promoted by the website Dyzy.com asked readers to submit their photos of Italy's streetlights - lampioni. Hundreds of photos from all over Italy were posted to the website. We picked some we thought were particularly striking, either for the architecture of the streetlamp or for the backdrop against which the streetlamps were photographed.
