So you have a house, a deposit and a commercial premises. The changes at the catasto will cost about the figure you describe, but you also need to change the destination of buildings at comune level. Assuming that they are deposit and oven, this will require at least a Scia to do the works to make them residential. You cant just change the catastal details without the other paperwork to support the change. The works need to be done first, then the change of destination, at wiich point the catasto will raise your rateable value to reflect a bigger house, so more ImU, Tasi and rubbish taxes.
Thank you Modisca.

Thank you Modisca. Interesting information. Let us see where this leads. I guess we will have an interesting journey infront of us.Some of us wants all details of the changes that will take place listed out in a formal innvoice document from the geometro, detailing the different cost elements like fees to Catasto, fees to our Geometro, fees to our local contact person facilitating it all and any taxes that are to be paied on top of this. I have a feeling that this is not the way it workes in Italy. Do you have any input that can bring value to our internal discussion?Espen

in which part of Italy is the building located?
you need an architect who knows the regulations of the region and also of the Italian municipality, where the building is located - if for example the online designer is used to working in Turin - and the building is in Puglia - it may happen that his way to <see> the restoration, it clashes with the conservation regulations of the territory of the Apulian municipality
