Buona sera tutti,I will try not to break too many conventions on one of my first posts on this forum- be kind!A brief intro: My OH is Italian and is spending most of the summer with our baby out in Italy with her family. I can no longer afford the spiralling car hire costs being as we need a car for a few months in the summer and most months for a week after that. I've taken the plunge and bought a car to take down and leave in Italy for most of the year (no more than 6 months ;-)). With the help of advice from this forum I feel like I got a good deal with Italsure. Thank-you!Anyway I will be driving down either 6th/7th of August to Acqui Terme (AL) in Piemonte. I will be taking down a double glazed front door to fit at my inlaws and a few tools and suitcase along with a couple of boxes for a friend in Torino. That said the car is a CRV (SUV) like an estate 5 door and will have the seats down, so there will be some space. Have people taken stuff down for others in the past for a contribution towards the fuel costs? Should I (or others?) be cautious about this or is there an etiquette. It seems a waste to take a half empty car down. I'm also considering taking a trailer down for lugging cut wood from the wood to the house (5km), but obviously this trailer would lack security!Probably a bit of an outside chance but to me it seems to make sense. I am based in SL4, Windsor (Berks) and the other end will be regularly visiting her family/friends down in Savona/Genova so could ferry stuff down or meet there. Likewise if you are not going to be there for a while it could remain in the garage. If anyone would like to discuss this further or offer a word of advice pm or add to this thread.Ciao ciao Rob
