Caravaggio at Caldarola

Perfect weather for a trip out today,after yesterdays storms, so we went to Caldarola to see the Caravaggios and others at Le Stanze del Cardinale in the main square  ( ends 12th Nov) and then on up to Castello Pallotta an ancient fortified castle. Both well worth a visit, but go early, opening at 10am until 1, but the last tour around the Castello starts at 11.30.And then on to my highlight of the day, a neighbouring high hill to see two eagles swooping high above us in the brilliant sunshine. A first for me, an amazing sight.A
