I have taken the plunge and am buying my Italian property! It needs a new roof and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good/reliable/reasonable!? builder/roofer in the Sarnano/Amandola area. Also glad of any 'Italian roof tips' believe the scaffolding is a major factor.

Hector my "italian roof" tips: 1. is to price doing this job properly before you sign the preliminary contract. You havent given much detail but if this is an old house requiring comprehensive seismic control, replacement of travi and pianelle etc you may be in for a very nasty shock. 2.You need a reliable geometra.

Pianopiano, thanks for your input. You guessed it, it is an older house requiring a completely new roof and will require the seismic installations as well. Just looks like I will have to raid yet ANOTHER of my piggy banks.
