Hi. We are driving from the U.K. to Fogliarido

Hi. We are driving from the U.K. to Fogliarido in the Trentino Alto Adige region arriving Saturday 2nd March. The most direct route takes us through Switzerland but in the past we have encountered big queues on the motorway network in Switzerland on Saturdays. An alternative route takes us through Germany and Austria. Can anyone advise if the roads are likely to be just as busy on that route? Many thanks .
