Description

On the sunny side of the small location called Cappella, just 5 km from the walls of Lucca town, there’s a stunning place facing all the valley, from East to West, with one of the most amazing view of Lucca province.

The property welcomes you through an automatic gate in its olive groves, aprx 1200 olive trees, producing one of the most authentic olive oil of all Tuscany, that’s a matter of fact the owner sells his production to 2 stars michelin Restaurant and in Denmark too.

The entire property has been totally restored by the current owner/architect, who did an amazing work making it a luxury retreat, using only high quality materials and reusing only typical stones.

First you reach the parking area, a wood roof with room for 2-3 cars. Than you can reach the house both by car or by foot walking in the garden among fruit trees and going up few stairs, or following the paved road by car.

After few steps you reach the big terrace which is in front of the house and from where you can enjoy a terrific view, with a gazebo with table and chairs and sofa.

On the left there’s the ancient turret of the monastery, where the owner restored absolutely everything building a new floor in the interiors, which wasn’t there, as they used to keep animals in there.

So now in the turret there’s the most beautiful and private and luxury part of the house, with ancient floor, very characteristic ceilings, and a light system absolutely gorgeous.

The ground floor of the turret is split in 2 parts, the cellar and a entrance with a circle room and stairs that leads upstairs, where there’s a huge double living room with a winter terrace. This floor is absolutely amazing, a real tuscan atmosphere fills up your senses with authentic tuscan cotto floors and precious beams.

The other side of the house, which is the “regular” side consists of:

  • ground floor: dining room on the left side, living room with fireplace on the right side with kitchen. Still on this floor there’s a bathroom and the laundry room.
  • First floor: the fish bathroom (there are fishes in the walls), the “nun”’s room which is a single bedroom, a double bedroom with wood floor, and the master bedroom area with bedroom, bathroom and the walk-in closet which can be another bedroom or a studio.
  • Other stairs brings on the second floor: brand new kitchen with induction cooktop, two bedrooms and another bathroom. This floor has its independent access from outside too.

Outside on the left side of the house there’s a big barbecue area with a table and chairs for 10 people, with pizza oven, barbecue and also an external kitchen, all built with high quality materials and pieces of ancient stones found during the restoration.

From this side of the land you can enjoy the view of the Apuane mountains.

The land is about 2 hectares with olive trees, fruit trees and park. All around the terrace and the house there are aromatic plants like lavender and rosmary which release a delicious fragrance. The entire land is terraced as it is on the hill.

The property has another entrance from above, where you can enter by car, stop in front of the front door to unload the car and then continued to the parking.

The property borders with a big B&B, the former monastery, which seems to be very close, but the house is very isolated from that, so they are close, but they don’t bother each other, it is a very silent B&B.
