On the Red Carpet at the Rome Film Festival

For the past several years, the Rome Film Festival has been quietly building up international recognition. Distinguishing itself from its northern neighbor, the Venice Film Festival, Rome’s event is truly a cinematic experience for the people.

Unlike its Venetian counterpart, the jury of the Rome Film Festival is made up of common movie-goers from Italy and Europe.

The Rome Film Festival ended Sunday night with director Stephen Daldry's Trash taking home the BNL People’s Choice Gala Award.

Many A-list actors attended the festival, including Richard Gere, Kevin Costner, Benicio Del Toro and Clive Owen.
