I'm coming with family to visit my parents village - Fanna, Province of Pordenone - in 2022.
I have not been there for over 30 years and have no surviving relatives that I know of.
Venzone (Friuli Venezia Giulia)
Venzone is a town in the Province of Udine, in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
It is located in the historic Friuli region, about 90 kilometres (56 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) north of Udine. The municipal area is situated in the valley of the Tagliamento River, separating the Julian Alps in the east from the Carnic Prealps in the west. In the northwest the river leads up to the Carnia region.
Important sighrt are: the Saint Andrew Cathedral, erected by Master Giovanni from 1300 to 133y, the Town hall (Palazzo Comunale) and the medieval town walls with the Porta San Genesio (1309).
