Ciao tutti,
Anversa degli Abruzzi (Abruzzo)
Anversa degli Abruzzi is a town in the province of L'Aquila, in the Abruzzo region of southern Italy.
In the surrounding areas between the Cenozoic and Mesozoic there was a carbonate sedimentation (the rocks near contain various carbonates, mainly including calcium carbonate in the form of compact limestone).
The village contains several interesting sights: the Norman castle (12th cent.), the Romanesque Church of San Marcello (11th cent.) and the Botanical Garden at the Sorgenti del Cavuto, containing about 380 native plant species, of which 45 are classified as endangered.
Below the Borgo are the remains of the Church of Santa Maria ad Nives and its monastery, which belonged to the Benedictine monks as early as the 9th century.
