Amazing produce available at the Christmas Market in Verona. Wonderful experience visiting these vibrant and friendly markets.

This photo was taken in Arezzo while walking around the historic part of the town and gardens. The old rusting iron enclosure and cracked and time worn walls contrasted beautifully with the warm and comforting terra cotta colored Madonna and Child.
Simple beauty every where you look in Italy.
Morning sunrise at Fossacesia along the Trabocco Coast, a contrast of the foreground silhouette of the historic fishing hut surrounded by gentaly rolling waves and the blood red sunrise. Peace, history and colour
This was taken from my hotel room one evening in the magical fortress town of Civitella del Tronto in northern Abruzzo. The light on the building was perfect and reflected beautifully on the mist as the land looks out to the Adriatic.
Walking back from dinner one night last fall, I saw this still-open shop under the incredible aqueduct in Sulmona, in the region of Abruzzo. The contrast of the deep blue sky with the colorful confetti candy and contained light was too much to resist. I wish more Americans would venture out into the Abruzzo region — there's so much to discover!
Inside shot of this lovely 13th century abbey. Gave me goosebumps.
