Diamante is a coastal town and comune in the province of Cosenza, part of the Calabria region of southern Italy. Each year Diamante hosts a festival celebrating the local produce, peperoncino (chili pepper). These are prepared as dried strings, infused into olive oil and made into a paste known as Calabrese Bomba. A distinctive feature of Diamante are the murals, which have brought to the city the award of “most painted city of Italy.”
