Of all the revitalization efforts happening across Italy’s endangered rural villages — some hyper-local, others more widespread throughout the nation — the sale of one euro homes is probably the most prominent. But while renovating cheap real estate may make for fun TV, it can’t resurrect the arts and entertainment scene in any given community. At least not on its own.
