8458 Pet Turkeys revisited

After I said I might revive this thread I revisited the last one. Its amazing what you forget. But Pigro got so excited in the last one I decided not to bother, as I expect Mrs P has enough to do with cooking Christmas dinner.

Actually, I still go to visit my parents for Xmas dinner. This year my mum has laid down the law that she's fed up doing all the work, so I have to bring the starter, my brother's in charge of the wine & my sister's doing the pudding. So, I'm off now to do clever things with salmon, crab & prawns, then work out how to get it all (for 10 people) into my stupid wee car along side all the pressies etc and ferry it doewn to their place tomorrow. Mrs P. on the other hand just has to concentrate on looking fabulous :-)

Was it oven ready?!

Having read the original 'pet turkey' thread, (very funny and entirely good humoured) and having been very much impressed by the advice that a tin of tuna would make a better intellectual companion...my advice now would be just to put the damn thing in the oven (even if it only weighs a few grams) and cut your losses. Or give it to the cat, uncooked, preferably running around, headless chicken style....aaah, am I not just full of the spirit of Christmas! Probably yes, but the spirit is grappa....
