10473 Kitchen Ware

I'm looking for good quality kitchenware shops in South Umbria, ideally with web sites for quick viewing although I'm realistic enough to accept that the latter may not be available. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Hi just noticed this thread and there is a fantastic Kitchen Ware shop called Casa (think this is how you spell it). It is on the roundabout at Sette Valle going into Perugia along with a Euronics, Brico shop and Misfero. I am going there tonight so can check the spelling and also see if they have a website. It sells everything for cooking (going to buy muffin tins) and the kitchen.

It may be a franchise from this Belgian chain, "Casa": CASA home

If that is the case, they are excellent shops.

Great store Gala, but as far as I can see the only Italian one is in Fiumi, Venato

Not sure if Casa Perugia is part of the Belguim chain. But it is great sell every kitchen gadget, huge range of cookware, plastic ware, coffee machines, etc etc.

I'm pretty sure the Perugia shop is an independent - it's called Centro Casa (and it is very difficult to change lanes on the huge roundabout to find the entrance - beware!). If you look in largish towns nearer to where you are, (Terni, Spoleto or Foligno perhaps) for shops advertising that they do Liste di Nozze (wedding presents), they are usually well stocked with good kitchen stuff. Euronics are usually good for electrical kitchen gadgets.

Is this the place?

Yes - that is the place to which Nicola and I have referred.

Via Settevalli on the outskirts of Perugia actually contains a treasure trove of shops, I mention but 2. Rosi for plants, bulbs, garden and pet supplies and a whole lot more and the very best paint shop, which again has lots more (including wall paper!!!!) Behind Benetton called Nuova Parati.

Have you thought about shopping for you homeware online and getting it delivered to you, saving you seeking a local store

That is an option if anyone has details of good web sites.

Upim stores are not bad for kitchenware although not a huge collection. Also the retail outlets such as McArthur Glen and the like.
