10498 letter in white

all this talk of unions and such... sort of brought back a talk i was having with people that worked or used to...especially women here about how they got sacked...

its something which is pretty well widespread amongst smaller enterprises here and is generally signed when you get a job...usually low paid and as i say generally women doing some sort of factory line work...

you have to sign this blank piece of paper to be able to get the job...it remains with the employer until they feel that they no longer require you and then its filled out with your letter of dismissal already signed by you...

ok unions are arguing against its use... been doing so for years..under left and right wing governments... but nothing has changed...
