Many thanks for your kind offer - unfortunately I am actually back in the UK on the 12th November! (nephew's first birthday - can't miss that) but thanks anyway.
I managed to find the Italian rugby federation website (www.federugby.it) and it seems to say that tickets will be available from January: at least I think that's what this means:
'Gli acquisti disgiunti: solo Italia vs Inghilterra o Italia vs Scozia, secondo la disponiblità residua dei biglietti, a partire da gennaio 2006 con i seguenti prezzi:'
Is that right? Anyway if so it's a bit annoying for people wanting to book flights from the UK but means I'll have to hang on before arranging anything I suppose.
Cheers for your post.
Sarah
Unfortunately I got to this message too late - I had dinner tonight with the ex president of Prato rugby club and an ex player (English girlfriend) and could have asked them about your tickets. What they did tell me was that Prato will be hosting the Italy - Tonga game on the 12th November (an important match for Italy's seeding) - tickets went on sale yesterday. Prato, if you didn't know is 20 minutes to the west of you by train. Let me know what tickets you would like for which of the games and I will have a word with my man.
Does anyone know of the best/easiest/cheapest way to get rugby tickets for the England vs Italy match in Rome in February? I live in Florence but am a huge rugby fan so thought I would pop down for it, but what I've found on the internet tend to be very expensive corporate packages rather than just straight ticket purchases. Possibly naively I thought that it would be easier to get tickets for Rome as Italy is fairly new to rugby and it's not a crunch match, but maybe it is just as difficult to get tickets here as it is the UK?
Any thoughts or advice would be gratefully received!
Cheers,
Sarah
