making soap perhaps?

Adding herbs to perfume it for massage usage? This could become a bit of competition. Anyone near guessing yet Kim?

I'd love to guess, but I seem to have watched too many Carry On films when I was younger (in age!) to make a sane/ polite/ intelligent guess
:D

I just read that Olive Oil Pomace is used predominantly in manufacturing of cosmetics and soaps because it's slow to go rancid; users can expect a shelf life of 6 Months to 1 Year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight).
So it sounds like you're all correct.
Maybe a hair conditioner? (if we're all coming up with different possibilities).

There was once a Kym on the forum, coming to Italy who said..."I actually make cold pressed olive oil soap for a living here in the uk. " (I remembered because she also had dogs and was coming over), now, if this Kym is that Kym, all is explained...

Found this old post so I guess the oil is for this type of idea.

My business is making soap and skincare products (no jokes about fight club please) You would think a perfect thing to transfer to Abruzzo. My 2 main ingredients are Sweet Amond Oil and Olive Oil Pomace - surely these products should be easy to source in the area - but where on earth do I start - my Italian is appalling at the moment (OK I've got till 2006!) but I wold like to source new suppliers before I leave the UK or it could kill my business.
anyone any ideas?
Kym, quick question are you the Kym that moved on your own with your sons and dog? Just that we hadn't heard and wondered if all was ok. :)

Yes its me I need the Pomace for natural cold pressed olive oil SOAP. Need to start making it before the snow comes back. Alone here in the snow for 4 months with no hot water & minimum electric, no Tv with the dogs. Dont have a violin but brought my saxaphone. Ha! The kids went home to their father unfortunately. I had to think of the little ones educaction he's 13 and the other 16 not good ages, but coming in the summer for a holiday. Divorce came through alone here with the dogs is good for me. I am isolated from everything but I think I need this at the moment. My mum came to visit a few weeks ago and was shocked how isolated I am (a little nearer to god) was the quote see made.

Hi Kym
I understand your situation living in the hills, as it's still cold in the mountain areas, still!
I've just spent my second winter living in a caravan while renovating this old capanna, but I do feel you perhaps you need to meet up with perhaps a couple of other Forum members for a drink and to speak a bit of English, also to keep you sane, it can 'send you' stuck in these hills.
