3969 Looking for a Room near Barga

Hi All -

I've been in the process of purchasing a village house near Barga (in northern Tuscany) for some time now with the intention of living there full-time, and I'm now thinking of going over there for a few weeks to try to encourage things along a bit (also, of course, to spend some time in Italy!).

Renting a holiday house does not seem economic for one person, and I need to live within my retirement income while there. So I would like to find a room to rent, up to a maximum of 150 euro per week, somewhere in the area between Lucca and Castellnuovo di Garfagnana, preferably close to public transport. I plan to travel over as soon as possible if I can find somewhere to stay.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
