Travel show and getting to Le Marche

Hi
We will be going to the travel show... will let you know if it is any good..
We used the Liverpool - Rome route and then drove over to Le Marche a couple of weeks ago during the snow.. it took us ages! We also found the car hire company very slow at Ciampino.. we were in the queue for over an hour until we got served with Sixt and then had a 10 minute walk to the car hire depot area. From arriving at the car hire company to leaving was about an hour and a half!!! Think we have been spoiled with the quick efficiency at Ancona airport with quick baggage/car hire etc...
We have decided we prefer to drive to Stansted and use the Ancona route from there. We have found the parking costs at Stansted are similar to Liverpool and we have used the Travel Lodge at Great Dunmow, which booked in advance can cost £29. We leave the Manchester area after work on a Thursday evening at about 7pm and arrive at the Travel Lodge at about 10.30pm and return on a Sunday.
The East Midlands - Rimini route starts again in April, so we will use that routhe from then until September.

I'll try to get to the show too and badger the Ryanair desk. If anyone has been sent a free entry ticket that they can't use please let me know..
We went E mids - Rome at xmas - its a long drive to Marche and all the signs about average speed checks kept us at 110 on the first leg so it took a while - very nice empty roads and a much better run past Teramo now though. Easyj felt much gentler somehow than ryanair - they even let families on first after the premium payers and on the way back ignored my 2k overweight bag bless em. It felt like luxury to have a place for papers at the back of the seat!
The Rimini route only goes on Tuesdays I think which will no good for us. E Mids airport was fine - quick security - we did see some signs saying no meat or dairy to europe - I'm afraid I stashed my bangers and bacon in my suitcase and kept schtum and got away with it. Bad girl.

Don't know if its any help, but I see from ItMag's newsfeed that Ryanair are doing a route from Brum to Pisa starting in April. I know Brum is a lot further south than East Mid and Pisa is a long way from S Marche - though perhaps not much difference from Rome/Rimini??
We'll probably give it a try just for experiment's sake. Although thanks for the tip about the Travel Lodge at Great Dunmow, Bolton 35. I have half-heartedly looked at Stansted hotels before, to save the 5am rising, but was put off by the price.

Hi
This Travel Lodge is only a few miles away from Stansted and seems that if you book it in advance you can always get a decent price. We have always got a deal on a family room with double bed, a sofa and a pull out bed (sleeps 2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults). This time we are only paying the Saver Rate of £29. They charge for overnight car parking in front of the hotel, but just before the entrance of the hotel, there is a road that is free parking, which always has spaces.
We have found it a good place to stay with comfortable beds and spacious quiet rooms. It also has a bistro restaurant and a bar.. so your holiday can start early!!!!
Ironically at the time this is on we will be winging our way to Ancona - via Rome!!! Otherwise I would have not only gone, I would have got a coach-load up!! If anyone goes I would be very interested to hear what Ryanair have to say - but the staff who are going probably have as little information as the rest of us.
Just to say as well that Ryanair now have their summer flights (to the end of August) available for booking online and guess what - no sign of Liverpool - Ancona ...
