Grinzane Cavour (Piedmont)

Grinzane Cavour is a town in the Province of Cuneo, in the Italian region Piedmont. Originally simply known as Grinzane, it switched to the current name in homage to Camillo Benso, Count Cavour, who was mayor of the city for 17 years. The main attraction is the massive medieval castle. It currently houses an ethnological museum with original furniture items from the 19th century, and rooms dedicated to Cavour's stay and to Italian wine production. The castle also contains the Cavour Regional Enoteca, created in 1967 to showcase the wines of the famous Langhe region of Piedmont - in particular the Barbaresco and Barolo wines, as well as the Michelin Star restaurant, Marc Lanteri Al Castello. On 22 June 2014, the castle of Grinzane Cavour was inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage list.

What others are saying about Piedmont

I have just joined this community because we are considering buying a house in Piedmont that we have.

For energy supply and heating, I was wondering about using solar panels and air-source heat pumps.
