Olbia (Sardinia)

Olbia is a city in the Italian insular province of Sassari in northeastern Sardinia, in the Gallura sub-region. Called Olbia in the Roman age, Cività in the Middle Ages (Giudicati period) and Terranova Pausania before the 1940s, Olbia was again the official name of the city during the period of Fascism. Olbia is a tourist destination thanks to its sea and beaches and also for the large number of places of cultural interest to visit. It is a gateway to some of the best-known tourist destinations in northern Sardinia, including the charming resort of Porto Rotondo and nearby Costa Smeralda, the Archipelago of La Maddalena with its beautiful small islands to be discovered by boat, and Santa Teresa di Gallura, on the northern tip of the island, facing the white rocky coastline of nearby Corsica. Olbia is a lively town, offering many events in winter too, which bring life and colour to its squares. It is well-linked to the stunning beaches of Porto Istana and Pittulongu.

Recipes

Our recipe of the week is made with "fregula", similar to couscous but with a more toothsome bite. This grain is typical to Sardinia and best serves with a delicious clam sauce.

Flights from Rome to Sardinia

Does anyone know if RyanAir is the only airline that flies from Rome to Sardinia, direct.

Hi, I am starting the process of building a simple minimalist studio space in Sardegna (no interiors walls, no bathroom and just a small kitchen) and I am looking for a good and trustworthy Geometra. I was wondering if anyone here had a good experience and could recommend one.
