Orgosolo is a town located in the Province of Nuoro, in the autonomous region of Sardinia, at about 110 kilometres (68 mi) north of Cagliari and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) south of Nuoro. The town is famous for its murals: approximately 150 murals decorate its streets, bringing thousands of Italian and foreign tourists every year. Since about 1969, the murals reflect different aspects of Sardinia's political struggles but also deal with international issues.
