Perseids meteor shower

This is a MUST see (VERY late but stay up!)I think (!) at 2am on Thursday night (12th) into Friday(13th - oo-err!) is the best time to see this FREE annual event in the night sky. Make sure your friends/guests etc stay up! Binoculars are not necessary. Your eyes will do just fine. S

The 12th and 13th are the correct dates for the peak but these dates begin after midnight so really you are looking at starting your first spotting session late tomorrow night (WED)

The word "shower" can be a bit of a misnomer as usually there is simply an increase in the rate of sightings but very pretty none-the-less. Not too sure about the 2am bit mind!
