8564 Flying to Pisa from the Midlands

For those who fly to Pisa from the Midlands there is some good news at last. After Ryan discontinued their Robin Hood airport service and Thomson have virtually stopped the summer service from Coventry we were left with just the East Midlands option. However Ryanair are to start a service from Birmingham on 2nd April - three days per week and the interlock nicely with the East Midlands service. The only day now without a service is Monday. This should relieve pressure on the East Midlands flights - flew back Tuesday and the flight was over three quarters full!! Hopefully it will mean more 1p /1 cent flights as well :winki: The service will be Pisa based, first flight of the morning so hopefully not too many delays either

Happy landings

I'd seen this messing around too; I recall a similar service that was perfect for me (Bournemouth -> Pisa) that stopped in the winter months & left us searching for a plan B.

I guess if it's a consistent service, we need to look to companies who are less market-dependant!

Jet2 fly to Pisa from Manchester + Leeds in the summer and can be cheaper than Ryanair then if booked early. Not as handy as East Midlands but similar to Birmingham from derbyshire.
