8613 Hunting season

It is well under way and has been for some time. The season starts early September - traditionally the third Sun, but often starts earlier, and runs until early February. It does seem to vary slightly from comune to comune so local hunting organisations would be able to give precise dates.

Don't know about there but here in Umbria, we were told by a gent with a shotgun that the Boar season was through until 31st December and birds (game only) until 31st January. Over hunting he said had brought the dates down from what they once were. We rarely hear a shot now.
