8600 B&B near Fiumicino Airport

I just got a request from my brother asking me to help him find the name of a hotel or b&b around Fiumicino.
There is a group going to a wedding in Sorento in September (about 12 including children) and rather then sticking a pin in web page maybe one of you know of somewhere that might do them. Some will be staying just for the first night but others will be coming back for 2/3 more nights.
any recommendations would be very welcome especially if you stayed there yourselves.
Thanks, Noelle

Hi Noelle,

On our trip in July 2007 we stayed at "Il Casale" which was quite nice. They do not take credit cards so be sure to bring cash. The only caveat though is to be sure you get very precise directions as we got quite lost trying to find it. I believe we got the name from another Forum member's posting. It is not far from the ruins of Ostia Antica either, which we would highly recommend if you have time.

Their e-mail is Tiscali Italia and the phone number is
06.5211832.

We would definitely stay there again.

Lisa

thank you so much Lisa C.
I am sure they will be delighted with it . I just didn't want to recommend anything to them unless I knew something about it. I know the one we stayed in near Ciampino airport was fantastic but they are flying Air Lingus so it would not work for them.
Thanks again

Can't recommend and B&Bs but ...the town of Frascati is not far (20 minute drive) from Fumicino, there are a few small, charming hotels and many great restaurants. We've stayed there 3 times but (sorry) the name of the hotel escapes me! There are 2 Marriott hotels, VERY convenient, a Courtyard almost on a runway and the Grand Park is 2 miles away. There is a Hilton in the airport, walking distance from the terminals.

:laughs:

Frascati is certainly close to Ciampino airport, but I wouldn't describe it as particularly close to Fiumicino?
