In the 'Cose di Casa' magazine they provide a list of Sunday flea/antique markets. There is one with 70 stalls listed in Pescara, via Firenze for Sun 2nd March - bit late now I know but it may well be a regular thing on the first Sunday of the month. There is a contact no. 085 4710788, no doubt they will be able to tell you more.

Ascoli Piceno has an antique market the 3rd week-end of every month, both Sat and Sun. There are a variety of products from antique furniture to "junk" and craft items. There is also a used furniture store in Castel di Lama near the train station, just follow the signs when you get of the SS between San Benedetto and Ascoli, I haven't been there but I always see their signs.

teramo has the occaisional antique fair but items tend to be costley
alternatives are the mercatino on the ascoli road leaving teramo... big warehouse of second hand furniture.. situated on the right of the road about 1.5 km from piazza garibaldi...
there is a second hand store by the city per supermarket just behind the new gran sasso shopping centre... its ok... but the selection is smaller
the other day a visted a new second hand shop in Montorio...its on the main road to teramo... that goes around montorio ...in a sort of complex of shops...the stihl tool shop is next door..... its big and its stock is at the moment a bit limited i guess...
have seen signs for a new second hand shop in guilianova... there have been several vans driving around advertising it... mercopoli or something like that i think its called... but have not been there or know where its located...

When visiting in October we came across a "flea" market in Ortona and having made our purchases were given a bag with the following dates on (presumably of similar events).
1st Sunday of the month Pescara
2nd Saturday of the month Ortona
2nd Sunday of the month Lanciano
3rd Sunday of the month Montesilvano
4th Sunday of the month Chieti
I'm afraid it didn't state where but the Ortona market was quite central so perhaps they would all be easily spotted.

This was posted in another thread today. Not sure if it's different from the one Gala suggested.

mercantino
Hi to all,
Just been to a very interesting mercantino called Centro dell Usato, Via Tavo 290, in Pescara. Lots of stuff there, and very low prices. While we were looking for it, going through on the SS16 going out of Pescara we passed another place which was shut, but looked really good. Will go back and look at that another time.
A QUALITY second-hand furniture place

Take a friend who is Italian if you want to get a good price. At Martinsicuro, along the main drag there is a second-hand furniture dealer that seems only to be open in the afternoons. He has other " hidden show rooms" about the town. The furniture has been restored so no junk. Cose del Passato di Corsi Mose' in Via Michetti 4, 641014 Martinsicuro (TE) Tel cell 347 3068304 & 0861 797512
He takes his stuff to dealers in Perugia. If anyone knows of such places in Umbria (including junk) I'd like details please.

I checked this store out, L'Affare, and it looks like mostly junk. If you are looking for an odd piece to complete some china or for a lamp it might be useful but other than that looked like low-end flea-market stuff.
Hi Jan, I found this for you. I cannot recommend them as they are outside my area, but it looks as if they have plenty of second hand goods. Good luck!
