9002 Please can anyone help with our doggy problem!

We have a bit of a problem - have just adopted the lovely little dog that Arty found but we had already booked a trip for a week from Thursday to Austria. Can anyone advise us if there are any kennels in the Le Marche area, or even anywhere up north up to the Italian boarder (towards the Brenner Pass) as the problem is taking him into Austria as he has not had a rabies jab just yet (as far as we know!) The other option is if we could find some extremely kind person who could look after him for us for the week. He really is very quiet and sweet!!
Thanks for your help

There are some excellent kennels run by a lady called Francesca near to Montecassiano. The dogs are well cared for and do not come back with that 'kennel smell' nor are they hoarse from barking! There has been a previous post about these kennels not very long ago- if you want the contact details let me know. The dogs do all have to be chipped and jabbed.

If you can't find someone in your area to look after doggy, perhaps this could help:

My dog always comes back alive!
There is also someone near Force who takes in dogs. I can ask a friend for her number later if you want.

Thankyou everyone for you replies - will keep a note of all the information for another time but luckily we have found a lovely lady to look after the doggy whilst we are away. As we have only had him a short time and she already knows him, it will be alot less stressful for him (and us!).

Great news! I am very glad. He will certainly feel more at home.
