Every year hundreds of Italians throng to the centre of Perugia for the Chocolate Festival, in the main only to buy chocolate from stall holders, that they could easily buy along the Corso Vanucci at any time. Those special chocolates from Naples for example, are sold out almost immediately. So if it matters be there on day one 18 October. Hopefully the discerning will discover the truly special chocolate shop in via Pintoricchio. A lot of effort is put into the hype ...see article in Italy mag. but most people around here thinks once is enough, unless you love crowds and perfectly ordinary chocolate.
