10851 Vote Now - US Presidential Election

Let's pretend you are American and have the vote. Who would you cast it for in the Presidential Election this Tuesday, Obama or McCaiin???

I am American and my vote will be for Obama. Everyone I know including friends and family will also be voting for him. My friend and I will be canvassing neighborhoods tomorrow in New Hampshire to help turn out the vote.

Lisa

Who would you vote for Sally? And why?

How to buy an election. Apparently Obama spent more money on his Florida campaign than McCain spent on the whole country. There are some serious debts to be repaid after he gets into the White House. But is it any better than the fraudulent way Bush hijacked the last one? Democracy at its best????

But who are we, Europeans, to judge when we allow Brussels to exert so much power over us with no real public mandate.

hi
as long as it does come down to chads !

After the last election I wish I could believe you.

Well - at your age mumps could be very painful!

.

Actually there was a very interesting documentary on Obama last night on TV (history channel?) which gave an insight into his background and what has fuelled his wish to be president, seems he is ahead in the polls so far, for me I hope he wins or God help America!.

Doffing my cap to today's events:

You know you're American when:
- population even has a passport, let alone seen another country.
- You sterilize the needles you use to administer the lethal injection.
- You are proud of living in a 'land of the free' which happens to hold 20% of the worlds prison population, as well as having the largest proportion of people in jail of any population on earth.
- You worry that 21 is be too young an age to drink but not that having 50,000 handgun murders a year is a problem.
- You criticize a democrat candidate for being socialist, while the republican president socializes your entire national economy (you are now the equal and socialist sponsors of Man Utd thanks to Bush) without you noticing or caring.
- You only enter wars to defend democracy when the opposite side declare war on you, but happily start wars that you lose with tin pot dictators all over the world.
- You spend more on defense than education or health.
- Your idea of a healthy option is a diet coke.

......thankfully, we British are perfect :wideeyed:

or

you find that a xxxxl tee shirt is a bit tight round the neck .

The Polling Booth is now closed I see. Hope ya man wins Tutti and thanks for your participation here.

The votes have been counted; Robert Mugabe is now the president of America.

Well could be worse. It could have been Gordon Brown!!!

(ANSA) - Rome, November 5 - The election of Democrat Barack Obama as the next president of the United States dominated the Italian press on Wednesday, although many first editions came out before the result was definitive.
