I liked the website very much Melodia. Hope those in England who love Italian food support you by shopping online. A good friend who lives in Calabria actually comes to Umbria to shop for such things as Parma ham but of course those peppery foods you sell cannot be found there.
We were persuaded to buy some Calabrian olive oil and we did with some reluctance, as the Umbrian oil is so good. We were taken to an azienda agricola owned by the Gallucci family and the mother in law is English. Their oil was superb. Nduja is a soft, spicy hot, spreadable salami and is one of the most famous Calabrian foods and we do sell a fair few! Made with pork meat, a bit of fat, salt and a lot of red pepper, and as may you know, it's extremely spicy! :chatterbox:
However, a less spicy version can be purchased (just ask). It's also considered an aphrodisiac due to all of the red pepper inside, and is also great for the heart and tastes wonderful of course!
We're from Cavallerizzo in the region of Cerzeto. However, the whole village was permanently evacuated due to a landslide in 2005. This has caused much controversy and heartache as only a small area was actually damaged, yet everyone has been forced to leave. We we're allowed across the baracade to look around, when I was over several weeks ago, which was very surreal.

Can you tell me what it would cost to ship your products to the US. I don't even know what the aws are in thsi country about having food or spices shipped into the United States, but being the fanatical lover of all things Italian i am willing to give it a try.

The FDA have very strict rules on food, if you ever get stuff sent, make sure its marked as a present, you will have better luck then if it carries a full declaration....

Okay thanks, there are restrictions on Charcuterie and as suggested above, there may be workrounds.
Cost depends, as you can probalbly guess; on weight and your loaction in the US. I would imagine East Coast, Central and then West Coast step up in cost. If you could give me an indication of what you plan to order and where you want to ship to, then l shall investige the cost to deliver to you.

Really enjoyed going in and chatting to Ted (Den Perry from Pheonix Nights!) we chatted about me growing up in Calabria, then moved onto Christmas and Italian food. We chatted about how popular Panettone cake has become in England and then Ted decided to taste all of my samples several times 'for the benifit of the listners':laughs:.

Thanks for your willingness to investigate for me, and please forgive the spelling errors in my last post. I live in the state of Illinois which is in the midwest of the country (pretty much right in the middle). I can't tell you what the taxes in my state are for goods brought in as each state levies taxes differently, so I am just looking for the initial cost. As far as what i would want: olive oil, the italian version of bacon (i can't spell the name to save my life so I'm not even going to try), olives, wine, parmesan, and mozzarella. These are the items I can think of right now but assuming I can afford it more will come later. Thanks so much

I have also contacted several people on the legal side including my good friend in NY who comes from Lancashire UK and has been importing just British foods from UK to Manhattan for many years.
