All other requests considered for this afternoon's dash, just a tenner a pop. N.B. My medication precludes the use of heavy machinery and I have no desire to harm other living creatures. :laughs:
I should add that the olive grove is in view of the "main" road into our village so my bella figura could well be taken to rock bottom .

Any chance of making it a Youtube vid? That's gotta be another way of raising some more dosh if we link it into the donations site.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I have given another tenner for Mr Acorn to keep his pants ON!:eerr:
We can't be seen to be behaving like The Brits Abroad:no:.
In reply to A newbie all over again! by Annec
Great idea! Just make sure the nettles are cut low, as you dont want to be dragging anything through them (or am I flattering you a bit too much?). Mind you, as a friend on mine once asked his doctor, after being stung by a wasp in a very delicate place, "Can you take away the pain and leave the swelling?"
Anyway, whilst Youtube is great, that would mean that anyone could view. What about, sendng the vid clip by email when you see a special donation of £10 on the fund raising page. It could be coded "little acorn"and message to include donors email address, so you can send once confirmed. This would raise the curiosity for those who have not paid and the rest of us can post comments about the spectacle!
It is not a payment for anything of course, so no worries about this being regarded as a provision of goods or services
Will this work?

Aw come on - of course we can Percy..... You can save his blushes (and yours) - all you have to do is let him use the standard 'Brits Abroad Uniform'.
That is:
1. Hanky (tied in four corners) on head.
2. Wear black socks.
3. Wear 'Jesus' sandals.
4. Carry kiddies bucket and spade. (The bucket to save his blushes and the spade to dig himself out of the hole he's got himself in)!

Are we too late????? Hope not.
An extra tenner if you can do the whole course with a poppy, or similar flower, clenched between the butt cheeks. Tha attachment must be by pure physical muscular effort ......no sticky tape. If he does it right, and completes the course with said flower still clenched, it will slow him down significantly! Better video that way.

So, like most Saturdays I got back from work late and decided to go for wander in the Olives. I hope all of you who have sponsored my "mad moment" and given to the forum red cross appeal will take something positive from the experience. Me, I'm off for couselling.
At the sponsored request of Moxie, a woolen hat was an "allowed" addition to my nudity, and likewise I sported a left sock for another tenner from David Uno (so that's where the name comes from). The sunglasses - well it's Italy, so that's just part of the uniform. You can see the sock in the video.
The video is in post production and will be released on the forum later this evening. The editing team are presently working to ensure that a certain mister Jonathon Thomas does not make a surprise appearance
And don't forget, we can all have a laugh, but there are people just over the other side of the Appenines from where I was streaking who won't be laughing for a good while yet. Let's all dig deep again to make sure that at least their basic needs are guaranteed in the short term until the real work begins to kick-start their lives back to some normality.

Gander - you are a STAR! I love you - and I have (almost) all my own teeth - should you ever tire of Percy. Look ~>
In reply to A newbie all over again! by Annec
Now theres an idea!
All that we need is 12 blokes from the Italy Mag Forum, in suitable poses (tasteful of course) and we can make an online calendar!
If I can get 10 responses (there are 2 of us here), I will arrange to put this together and those willing to donate a fiver or tenner, will get the finished product sent to them by email.
If it gets a lot of interest, we could go into print!!
So, how many volunteers do we have? Think of a theme connected to Italy for your photo.... Tower of Pisa suitably placed (I wish!), Michelangelo's David (with fig leaf) that sort of thing.
PM me, if you want it to remain a surprise as to whose in.

I'm not sure if I will sleep tonight. On the one hand if my "show" is a "no show" then you'll be left having to walk the dog yourself. On the other hand, if my show tingles for Mrs One2 and the jungle starts to rumble at Casa One2 then the mental imagery will be like listening to the neighbours "at it" above my old flat in Crouch End. :laughs:

Thanks Russ - I'll just let the "beast" loose I think. Lot's of people have given several times already and my pledge was to release the goods once a donation ceiling had been passed.
However if anyone wants to give more when they see my chopper then "good on 'em"
The production office are still working on the logistics i.e. we have never done a video link off our 10 year old camera before :veryconfused:
By the way, I take a bath of nettle leaves every Saturday to maintain purity of thought so some immunity in the nethers has been built up already :laughs:

Well done you! We're waiting up tonight so we don't miss the video.

Oy, if you blokes on the forum (and don’t for a minute think I don’t know who you are) don’t come forward, you will be named and shamed. I am in much need of a smart coffee table publication.

PS Failing that, applications from ladies with stubborn facial hair maybe considered.
