1766 ciao ragazzi

Hi
I will be moving to Pesaro, Marche in December and discovered the forum by accident when I was trying to find out about registering/insuring a UK car in Italy or buying a car in Italy (What a can of worms that is! I'm even more confused than ever now!!!)
I will be living with my boyfriend who is Italian, so that will make many things easier for me, but would welcome any top tips and advice that people have about making the move! (things to take/leave behind, paperwork I need to sort out - ANYTHING really!!!)
I intend to spend time learning the language properly when I arrive initially, but would ultimately like to work. I am a teacher who works with children with special needs. I am extremely passionate about the education of children who have severe and complex needs, and enabling them to communicate, so again if anyone has anything to share in this area, please get in touch!
Look forward to hearing from you
Melanie :)

Hi Melanie

Welcome to the forum. If you use the 'search' facility at the top of the page you can find information and advice on just about everything you have mentioned.

I would think that having an Italian boyfriend will help no end sorting out paperwork etc.

Good luck on your move and enjoy Italy.

Welcome to the forum and sure you cannot wait until December. Having an Italian boyfriend should make your transfer to the Italian way of doing things fairly painless.

Hi I live near Pesaro and work in Pesaro. In the Uk I used to work in Nurseries but haven't been able to find work doing the same here yet (only arrived in May). As far as a car's concerned I would suggest if you can at all do it wait until you have residency and but an Italian can otherwise the simplest things get complicated.
