Italian countryside outside of Santo Stefano di Sessanio
During a road trip through Tuscany, I slaked my wanderlust by roaming everywhere, from Florence to Pienza and San Gimignano to Siena. I greedily drank in the scenic vistas that greeted me at every corner. But when I bid goodbye to this slice of La Dolce Vita, I could remember one moment way more vividly than the others. It wasn’t that of a medieval town perched loftily on a mountain or a quaint village ensconced in the warm embrace of an olive grove. It was this moment between between two kindred souls who were soaking in a sunset. I felt it epitomized everything about Tuscany – an amazingly beautiful place for sure, but with an equally beautiful and peaceful soul.
