In the heart of Tuscany, in a soft and gentle scenery that opens to landscapes of extraordinary charm nearby Montepulciano, Metina is a small, cozy, family-run venue with a gorgeous, wide pool overlooking the Vino Nobile vineyards.

Metina is a peaceful slice of paradise; a tiny gem embedded in an evocative and rich nature that you will enjoy all year round, perfect for your holidays, your family trips.

Set half way between Val d’Orcia and Valdichiana you will enjoy the immense cultural and artistic heritage of both, Tuscany and Umbria.
Visit Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona, and other charming medieval hill towns where time seems to stand still, or reach the unmissable Siena, Arezzo, Perugia or Orvieto in less than 1-hour drive.

To enhance your stay, we, Monica and Alberto, can handle the essentials like pre-arrival groceries, book nearby restaurants or wine tastings and any other experience.

If hiking's your thing, we will show you the walking trails along the Tuscan hills surrounding us, or we can book your horse riding, hiking, e-bike or Vespa tour.

Or maybe you could just stay home and enjoy a good book and a glass of wine by the pool and practice the art of “dolce far niente”.

Whatever your holiday style is, we are waiting for you at Metina: the perfect place to escape and unwind yourself from the hectic pace of daily life.

What's included

You will love:
- The wide panoramic pool in a large fenced garden with so many native plants: refresh yourself in the pool, enjoy a book in the shade or “simply” listen to the relaxing sounds of nature.
- The barbecue at your disposal for cheerful evenings… Oh, how much we love seeing people from all over the world gather on the terrace at sunset enjoying a good glass of wine, chatting about their discoveries of the day or discussing the cooking of the steak.
- The playground area loved by children... of all ages...
- The amazing view from all the apartments: olive-groves, vineyards and, on a distance, hill towns like Cortona or Montepulciano.
- The scent and colors of the lavender field in bloom and the passage of roe deer and hares in the nearby field.
- Weekly linen for bedroom and bathroom are included, as well as consumption, air conditioning and heating.

What's not included

Ours are self-catering apartments with kitchen: we'll be more than happy to give you our best suggestions for your breakfast and meals from 1 km.
To the delight of adults and children, from April to October, the baker comes by every morning with a wide choice of bread, pastries and pizza.
Tourist tax is currently €1 per day per person over 12 years old
An extra fee may be applied for use of fire-place and for a dog-welcome kit.

On request we are glad to book your horse rinding, bike, Vespa, hiking guinded tours.
