Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have purchased a $40 million mansion in the Valpolicella hills.
The 18,000-square-metre house has 15 bedrooms, a cinema, a gym, seven bathrooms and several jacuzzis. There is also, of course, a vineyard.
The couple, who have been renting a palazzo on the Grand Canal in Venice, have been considering purchasing a property in Italy for some time. Jolie is said to have fallen in love with the country while filming “The Tourist” with Johnny Depp.
Pitt and Jolie already have homes in Los Angeles and New Orleans and will use the Italian property as a holiday home.
It is all a far cry from the devastation Jolie will be seeing during a visit to areas affected by the floods in Pakistan. The star, who arrived in Pakistan yesterday, has personally contributed $100,000 to the relief fund.
