Italian fashion house Versace unveiled its first foray into the world of interior design for private helicopters in Milan on Thursday.
Two Agusta helicopters - a twin turbine Grand and a twin turbine AW 109 Power - with signature interior fittings were delivered to their new owners, the Romanian entrepreneur and former tennis champion Ion Tiriac and Italian businessman Bruno Zago, chairman of the paper and packaging group Pro-Gest.
''We have entered a new frontier in luxury,'' Versace chairman Giancarlo Di Risio said.
Renzo Lunardo, head of civilian sales at Agusta, said the aeronautical company was ''taking Italian style to the world''.
Versace struck an agreement with Agusta to kit out its helicopters in February 2007.
Di Risio said helicopter interiors were a natural progression after Versace's work on resorts, luxury jet interiors and automobiles.
