In Christopher Nolan's latest and final take on the Batman story, The Dark Night Rises, Batman's alter-ego Bruce Wayne gets a makeover all'italiana with custom suits from Giorgio Armani.
A millionaire known for buying hotels because he feels like it, sleeping through corporate meetings, and hitting the town with as many gorgeous women as his Lamborghini Murcielago can hold, Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne chooses sleek, tailored Armani suits to represent his playboy style.
Armani personally designed charcoal grey pinstripe and grey glen plaid suits for Bale, both two-button with notch-collars, in collaboration with costumer designer Lindy Hemming. Each suit features a unique label created for the film which reads "Giorgio Armani for Bruce Wayne".
The designer also created the suits worn by Gary Oldman as Police Commissioner Gordon, Michael Caine as Wayne's butler Alfred, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake in the film. Anne Hathaway sports Armani accessories for her character Selina Kyle, the alter-ego of Catwoman.
