Lady Gaga is the new face of Versace for the Italian fashion house's Spring-Summer 2014 campaign.
"I am honored that my friend Lady Gaga is the face of our new Versace campaign", the house's creative director Donatella Versace said in a statement. "I wanted to capture her true beauty and spirit in images that are elegant and alluring. She is like family to me, the embodiment of the Versace DNA. Lady Gaga completely captures the Versace essence: creative, experimental, fearless."
Photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott shot the campaign in London.
Versace’s collaboration with the American singer started with the Edge of Glory video released in 2011 where she wore Versace. The Italian fashion house later created most of her costumes for her Born This Way Ball tour.
Lady Gaga's latest Artpop album includes a new track, 'Donatella,' dedicated to Donatella Versace.
The singer and the fashion designer dressed and wore their hair in a look-alike style during Milan Fashion Week appearances in September.
Lady Gaga is not the first star to appear in a campaign for Versace: Madonna and Jennifer Lopez, among others, have previously starred in the brand's ads.
